Dr Dean Robinson has been appointed as the Research Manager for the Centre for Brain Research. Dean’s role will be to facilitate and expand collaborative research links across the Centre, to assist in the implementation of our strategic research initiatives, to advance research networking and to manage our seminar programme.
Dean brings an invaluable background in neuroscience research, medical writing, drug evaluation and team management to this exciting and challenging role for the CBR. Dean graduated with a PhD in respiratory neurophysiology from the University of Auckland and following 4 years of postdoctoral studies, gained extensive experience over the last 5 years as an editorial team leader and manager at Wolters-Kluwer Health, Adis in Auckland.
Dean will take up the appointment on Monday 16 April and in his first few weeks will be visiting all research groups across the Centre to identify and assist in developing opportunities for enhancing research collaboration in the CBR. This is great news for the centre and is an exciting further appointment to our superb professional team.
